Back from Retreat
I took Hendrix and Hamsa to our little retreat in Hyde Park this weekend. It was a very much needed break and a really wonderful one. I like the woods and nature and this place is surrounded by woods. It's a nice little respite just a few hours away.
We spent three nights there with lovely weather just eating and frolicking and passing out. We did do the Hudson River bridge crossing. That was 3 miles each way and it was glorious. And now I'm back to work and school. Already looking forward to my next break.

Sweet Valentines from wonderful people!
I scored some sweet Valentines this evening from some wonderful people! It really made my day to come home and see these waiting for me. Valentines Day has always been one of my favorite days even when I was single because I love love! And I love a day that allows people to celebrate love openly and not be ashamed to say how much people mean to them. My sweetheart, my friends, dolly friends and all, mean so much to me and to everything that makes my life work. Thank you so much!

We mourn the passing of this great artist, this icon, this woman. Right now, I can't stop listening to her music, It makes me think of a wonderful time in my life when I would actually listen to the radio everyday because amazing sounds would come out of it then.
Whitney's voice would fill up my heart and be the soundtrack to some of the most important, most touching events in my adolescent and teenaged life. I feel so blessed to have come up at the same time when her star rose to it's height and burned so bright. There will be another.

Crochet Hearts are up on Blythe Warmers
I have been crocheting these hearts like a mad person since last week but true to form, I have one posted about three in my Blythe Warmers etsy shop. I just need them to be perfect and today I finally found a tutorial that helped me to do that. People who crochet can do the same pattern in ten different ways and there were like two steps I didn't get in the first pattern I was using that really helped mw to get the shape of the heart that I like. Overjoyed. So there will definitely be more to come. In the meantime you can check these out. : )

Crochet Hearts
I finally found the pattern to make these wonderful crochet hearts online and I've gone a little crazy making them from skeins of spare yarn around my apartment. They are small about 2inches or so in width and can probably be used as ornamentation in many ways. I'm wearing on as pin right now. I just love them. I may actually put a few up on Blythe Warmers for Valentines Day. Stay tuned.
