This is what is it is to live with Blythe. It's like Geppetto's workshop in the house! I don't have nearly as many eye ships as Mellisa but I do have a hand saw, face mask, tools and several cans of spray paint.

I've been tweaking my on Blythe Post Esty shop with help from other shops I've added as favorites. It's amazing some of the details you forget to include. I just included the size of the postcards in the description of them this morning. Duh!
I was looking for more creative ways to present my store announcement and came upon this in "Ferns Closet."
"Fern is my first and most favorite Blythe doll. I never knew what a Blythe doll was until I discovered Etsy and now I'm hooked. My family of girls is growing rapidly and it's getting harder and harder to explain each new girl's arrival to my husband! So shhhhh, don't say a word.
Come on in, have a look around and meet Fern, Gabby, Naomi, Gillian, Sadie and Martie. They'll be glad you stopped by and so will I.

I feel ya on keeping the secret from your husband Natasha! Fran swears I said that my last Blythe Doll would be my last ever. But I stand firm in that what I meant was it would be the last one for a long time. Hamsa was supposed to be my last ever. Okay Amanda! You're right okay!! YOU'RE RIGHT! I don't know when the last one will be. I was just trying to give myself limits.
I really am fascinated by this addiction in other woman though and can't wait for the NYC Blythe Meet to be able to ask the ladies some questions about the details of their particular fascination with Blythe.

ADAD 4/365: Shirelle
Remember Blythe 365 on flickr? I choose Reya, got into the 40s and folded under the pressure of taking a photo of one doll every day for a year. Last week I decided to re-enlist for "ADAD" or A Doll A Day 2010.
It doesn't matter which doll and it can be any doll but I have to post one a day for a year. I think I can handle this. So far I feel way less pressure. It's really fun and it gives me a chance to showcase my entire doll family so they all get some attention. I will post a link here so you can check them out soon but not until get up to the 40s again!

FIRST BLYTHE POST SALE!!!!!
Okay, so Blythe Post made it's first sale this morning!!!!! YEA!!!!!! It was from a woman who initially inquired with me as to where I got Reya Light, my Black Blythe custom. I told her I made her myself but that I do not make them professionally and I sent her a link to the flickr set I created of my process making Reya. She loved it and ordered the last (well there was only one) postcard of Reya shown above. Oh, I know I shouldn't get too excited but I have never done anything like this before and it just feels so good on a Monday morning to make a tiny bit of money selling something that I made! Oh wow!!! And I just ordered business cards (you can get 50 made free from Moo.com but they advertise on them) yesterday as well to stick in the Jill Bliss envelopes I'm using to ship out the Postcards I sell. Okay! Well, I'll keep you posted on any further progress. Oh! Haha! I should probably link my Etsy shop here on my blog. Heheheh. Duh! I'm giddy! Don't mind me! EEEEeeeee!!! LOL!

Blythe Post is here!
So I started an etsy shop for my Blythe Postcards this weekend, today, this morning to be exact. It's just a tiny one, a small run, a trial and error sort of thing because I have got to try it at least. It was a bit of a pain in the ass to start but I'm starting to get the hang of it. One of my cards was already "Hearted" by someone. And I recieved an "etsy conversation" message almost immediately asking where I got my "Black Blythe." LOL! That's nice.
I need to sharpen my vision for the theme a bit more and God knows I want a better banner but I haven't quite figure out how to do that yet either. I wanted more of an actual postal theme but this will have to do for now.

Zoya Rocks out
It's not really well shown here but I lent Zoya Hamsa's rock guitar (it's slung around her shoulder) for a photoshoot last week and she was loving it!! Apparently she was ready to rock. I don't think Reese could have done as well. She's more the sassy classy white suit type.

Hamsa on the black clover stand
Ummm scratch the Black Blythe custom. Hamsa has really charmed me.
I love this girl just the way she is! i may try the "sleep eyes," obviously I will change a few eye chips (I love switching out eye chips!) but I will try my next Black Blythe Custom on a Blybe as I had original planned.

The Goodies!
Hamsa, my "Punkaholic People Blythe" comes with a guitar, a star pendant on a chain earring (She has three ear piercings, one on her left, two on her right) white shoes, a belt and her stick plaid bondage pants. I am starting to toy around with the possibility of making her into my next black Blythe. She is an RBL mold like Sabine, my "Prima Dolly Aubrey" Blythe which makes them pretty much identical. These are the Blythes that are easiest to take apart. They have only three screws behind the head and come apart in three easy pieces I am told. I may even give her "sleep eyes" a process that involves a second pull string that will allow her lids to stay closed or halfway open or at any point between open and closed. I'm not quite sure how to do it yet but I'm told it's very easy.
Oh God! I'm getting excited just writing about it. I love Blythe doll DIY! I will not be doing any hair replacement or re-roots though. I love her hair so if I do do this, her original page boy scalp is going right back on. And I will probably switch out her Takara body for a Licca because those notoriously sticky Takara legs just won't do for spray paint.
I've never been a fan of the way Licca bodys look nude but the Gumby like bendiness of their limbs do allow for more animated action in photographs and I love that! Perrin, the traveling Blythe has a Licca body and she was so expressive! LOL! Well, more to come. Regrettably, I haven't had much time this week to spend with Hamsa. Mid-terms and all. And this weekend will be a total rain out but we'll salvage it somehow.

Hello Darling Hamsa!
Oh my precious Hamsa has arrived!! I have never had a brand new Takara Blythe with all her stock before! And Punkaholic Blythe's stock is so frackin (that's right I've been watching too much Caprica) awesome! She's got three earrings!! Her outfit is adorable. She is as sweet as can be! Even her box rocks! I won't take her out just yet though. I'm still so busy with mid-terms. I want to be able to play with her and introduce her to the Fab Five for as long as I want. Maybe this weekend there will be time or maybe I'll just break down and open her on Friday. We'll see. Oh Hamsa! It's so good to see you!

NYC Blythe Meet Saturday April 3rd
Sometime this past week, one of my Flickr contacts asked whether any NYC Blythe lovers might want to arrange an NYC BLYTHE MEET! So it's happening!!!! Mellisa (aka Cybermelli) has arranged it and posted the invite on flickr.
I CAN'T WAIT!!! I have looked on in envy and regret whenever I've seen posts for Blythe meets all over the US and couldn't make it or heard about it too late or just considered the travel to inconvenient. But now a Blythe Meet is coming to my town!!! WHOOOHOOO! By then, hopefully, I have a new point and shoot camera (my first one died a while ago) so I can take hundreds of pics of people I've only ever communicated with on flickr as well as their fabulous Blythe Dolls.
We're meeting a place on the Lower East Side at place called Sts Alp Teahouse. And then (this is just too good!!) we head over to Gina Garan's Studio to shop!!!! *SCREAMING SQUEALING HOPPING UP AND DOWN* April cannot arrive quick enough! I am living for this!
HD recorder, camera two or three of the Fab Five, soon to be six, BLYTHE MEET NYC HERE WE COME!!

The Last Blythe (Punkaholic)
So last night, in an auction on ebay I won, my very last Blythe Doll. It took very careful planning and strategy. I was watching it for days. It was the only one of it's kind up for auction with free shipping and I couldn't believe how low the bids were even up until the last minute. I made my move in the last 8 minutes or so.
She is "Punkaholic Blythe" and I have quietly wanted her for the longest time now. I have staked her out for over a month, maybe more. I even have a name for her already. Hamsa, which is Sanskrit for "I am that."
She is the absolute first Takara Blythe I have ever purchased who is brand new, NRFB (Never removed from box) and with all her stock! DUDE! Not only do I adore her but her stock is kick ass. I have included the description of her as written on the Takara Tomy website.

Blythe is ready to rock like never before! A white short-sleeved blouse is dressed up with a tartan tie, which matches her bondage pants and miniskirt. Her white faux-leather belt is printed with studs and accented with a silvery metal chain. White shoes match her belt, and mismatched earrings (a star dangles from her left ear, and there's two studs in her right ear) add a punk touch. Best of all is her perfectly scaled guitar, complete with strap! A stand is included to display this black-bobbed darling live and in concert on your doll shelf.
She has a guitar!!!! And she has earrings which I have been dying for so she can share them with Reya whose ears are also pierced!!! YEA! I can't wait to meet her!
